APR Will Impact Cowboys Football

STILLWATER, Okla. - The NCAA is set to release Wednesday the APR (Academic Progress Rate) scores for member schools and their athletic programs, and sources have confirmed that Oklahoma State will be impacted in football. The Cowboys score in football will be below the required 930 (over a four-year period) or 940 (over a two-year period), and the OSU program will receive a penalty.

The expected penalty will be one less practice day each week during the upcoming season. Already announced earlier this spring were poor results at Idaho and UNLV that have them banned from postseason bowls next season. The postseason ban is the most serious of APR penalties.
