| Lowe is a player who could wind up at corner or safety. He has nice speed and has pretty good hips, but he is an absolute monster coming up from safety in run support. His versatility as a player makes him one of the most highly sought after recruits in the Midland region. - Greg Powers |
| Biography: |
Lowe had 127 tackles with four interceptions and one sack during the 2008 season. He earned Big All-City Defensive Player of the Year Honors.
Daytawion Lowe finished his junior season (14-2, 5A semifinals) with 168 tackles and three sacks. He also had four touchdowns (two on interceptions and two from punt returns). Lowe benches 240-pounds, squats 385 and has a 35-inch vertical jump.
Lowe says he'd like to major in engineering and reports a 3.8 core GPA and a 21 ACT.
Lowe: "I'm great at tackling and have good agility. I have good awareness and know what's going on the field all the time. I love to hit and just go after it.
"My footwork isn't bad, but it can use some work. Same thing for my technique."
Lowe also runs track and says he may want to double-sport in college. "I'd like to try to run track too," Lowe said.
He competes in the 200m (22.8) and the 400m (49.6).
