STILLWATER – Oklahoma State head coach Travis Ford said earlier this week that Keiton Page plays better when he starts, and that’s why he decided to put him back in the Cowboys starting lineup in recent games. The 5-foot-9 sophomore proved his coach right on Tuesday night as he scored a career-high 22 points in helping OSU defeat Prairie View A&M 80-58 at Gallagher-Iba Arena.   Full Story

Josh White of North Texas had scored 23 and 25 points in games against Oklahoma State the past two seasons. So there was a reason for Cowboy head coach Travis Ford to be concerned entering Saturday’s game against the Mean Green. But freshmen Ray Penn and Fred Gulley combined to hold White to just four points as Oklahoma State defeated North Texas 82-68 at Gallagher-Iba Arena.   Full Story

STILLWATER – Travis Ford’s first team at Oklahoma State was forced to rely on the three-point shot at times because of the lack of a true post presence. Ford’s team shot better than 38 percent from behind the arc last season, and the OSU head coach expected more of the same this season.   Full Story

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State’s season opener Saturday had a little bit of everything. Head coach Travis Ford took his team back to the locker room four times while waiting for the officials to show up. Seattle University left Gallagher-Iba Arena before the game started to go eat lunch. To top it off the Cowboys had three players record double-doubles in capturing the 86-64 victory over Seattle.   Full Story

STILLWATER - Oklahoma State head coach Travis Ford welcomed Dale Brown, his former college roommate at Kentucky, to Gallagher-Iba Arena on Tuesday night. But instead of his team being as giving as the Cowboys were on Saturday night in the first exhibition with 27 turnovers, they were more stingy with two young guards Ray Penn and Fred Gulley the ring leaders as the Pokes defeated Dillard 97-55.   Full Story

STILLWATER - As the season got underway, Travis Ford talked about the Oklahoma State Cowboys more like they were a science project than a basketball team. On Saturday, in a game where OSU turned the ball over 27 times on the way to a too-close-for-comfort 89-80 victory over Division II Central Oklahoma, the coach gave his experiment a failing grade.   Full Story

Travis Ford and members of the Oklahoma State men’s basketball team met with the media on Monday to discuss the first two weeks of practice and the upcoming 2009-10 season. Here are some of the Cowboys’ second-year head coach’s thoughts with the exhibition opener scheduled for Saturday night against NCAA Division II Central Oklahoma.   Full Story

The Oklahoma State coaching staff may already have its recruiting finished for the Class of 2010, but that doesn’t mean Travis Ford’s crew is relaxing. Quite the opposite as the Cowboy staff has targeted this weekend’s Homecoming & Hoops event to bring some of the nation's top underclassmen to Stillwater. Who will be visiting? Well, GoPokes.com has what is believed to be the entire list.   Full Story

There are many questions to be answered as the Oklahoma State basketball team enters the 2009-10 season. Who’s going to replace four-year starter Byron Eaton at point guard? Will the Cowboys finally find a post presence who can stand up to the likes of Dexter Pittman and Cole Aldrich? How will seven newcomers, including six true freshmen, handle the pressure of playing in the Big 12?   Full Story

In the end there were the long faces lining the Oklahoma State bench from Travis Ford's group of assistants, to starter Keiton Page, the backups like Nick Sidorakis and Anthony Brown, and the long line of walk-ons that have helped rebuild the program with their efforts.   Full Story

Oklahoma State’s basketball season came to a disappointing end but not before Byron Eaton and the Cowboys gave fourth-ranked Pittsburgh all it wanted Sunday afternoon in a second-round game of the NCAA Tournament’s East Regional. Eaton recorded the second double-double of his career but it wasn’t enough as the Panthers defeated the Cowboys 84-76 in Dayton, Ohio.   Full Story

Point guard Byron Eaton has used his sensational abilities to tease and provide a mixture of marvel and disappointment during his career at Oklahoma State. Eaton has been outstanding during a strong late season run for the Cowboys. The senior point guard provided two clutch plays at the end of the game Friday to give OSU a 77-75 win over Tennessee in a first-round NCAA Tournament game.   Full Story

If you ask Obi Muonelo, he’ll be more than happy to state the reason for Oklahoma State’s late season turnaround. But if you think it has something to do with seniors Byron Eaton and Terrel Harris wanting to play in the NCAA Tournament for the first time or the improved play of sophomore James Anderson, you would be wrong. What is it that Muonelo believes led to OSU's impressive late-season run?   Full Story

Travis Ford knows Oklahoma State’s chances to defeat Tennessee in a first-round NCAA Tournament game Friday will be in the hands of several players. Can James Anderson continue his outstanding play? Will Marshall Moses add to his four double-doubles in the last eight games? However, the biggest questions may center on OSU senior point guard Byron Eaton.   Full Story

Byron Eaton and Terrel Harris got what they wished for Sunday when Oklahoma State earned an at-large berth in the NCAA Tournament. It will be the first trip to the Big Dance for any player on Oklahoma State’s roster but it’s that much sweeter for Eaton and Harris, the only fourth-year seniors only the team and only remaining members of the most heralded recruiting class in school history.   Full Story

As much as it hurts, both literally and figuratively, Oklahoma State's loss Friday night to 14th-ranked Missouri in a semifinal game of the Big 12 Championships could be a blessing in disguise. The Cowboys, after playing three games in three days, will now get time to recuperate – and no one needs it more than point guard Byron Eaton – while waiting for Sunday’s NCAA Tournament selection show.   Full Story

Anthony Brown’s stat line will not impress people across the nation who did not see Oklahoma State’s 71-70 victory over seventh-ranked Oklahoma in the third meeting between the Bedlam rivals this season. It wasn’t about how many points (four) or rebounds (four) that Brown had in Thursday’s quarterfinal game of the Big 12 Championships. It was about keeping the ball away from Blake Griffin.   Full Story

Obi Muonelo has only defeated Bedlam rival Oklahoma once in six games since arriving at Oklahoma State, and teammate Marshall Moses is winless in four meetings. But Muonelo and Moses combined for 36 points and 15 rebounds to lead OSU to an 81-67 victory over Iowa State on Wednesday to set up a third meeting this season with the Sooners in Thursday's quarterfinals of the Big 12 Championships.   Full Story
