”We don't have much talent. Only two legit Pac-10 starters (Fields and Green). But we're hanging tough with some good schools. That's better than pretty much anyone's expectations.” That's Wyndam. Hear plenty from Daniel and, alas, Marquees as an inspired 14-point comeback falls one point short.   Full Story

TULSA – Travis Ford warned his Oklahoma State team earlier this week not “to get carried away” after beginning the season with six consecutive wins. The second-year head coach knew what he was talking about as Tulsa whipped his Cowboys in every phase of the game en route to an 86-65 victory Wednesday night in front of a standing room only crowd of 8,455 at the Reynolds Center.    Full Story

Starting point guard Ray Penn and the other five Cowboy freshmen were just kindergartners the last time Oklahoma State’s basketball team made a trip to Tulsa. Penn and his teammates are hoping OSU’s 85-mile drive from Gallagher-Iba Arena to the Reynolds Center on Wednesday night turns out better than the Cowboys’ trip on Nov. 22, 1996.   Full Story

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State head coach Travis Ford said earlier this week that Keiton Page plays better when he starts, and that’s why he decided to put him back in the Cowboys starting lineup in recent games. The 5-foot-9 sophomore proved his coach right on Tuesday night as he scored a career-high 22 points in helping OSU defeat Prairie View A&M 80-58 at Gallagher-Iba Arena.   Full Story

Josh White of North Texas had scored 23 and 25 points in games against Oklahoma State the past two seasons. So there was a reason for Cowboy head coach Travis Ford to be concerned entering Saturday’s game against the Mean Green. But freshmen Ray Penn and Fred Gulley combined to hold White to just four points as Oklahoma State defeated North Texas 82-68 at Gallagher-Iba Arena.   Full Story

STILLWATER – Travis Ford’s first team at Oklahoma State was forced to rely on the three-point shot at times because of the lack of a true post presence. Ford’s team shot better than 38 percent from behind the arc last season, and the OSU head coach expected more of the same this season.   Full Story

Head coach Travis Ford took his team back to the locker room four times while waiting for the officials to show up. Seattle University left Gallagher-Iba Arena before the game started to go eat lunch. There is not a more anticipated regular-season game in the NFL than the matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots. The Colts have recently been winning games in unique ways. The offense started off the year averaging 29 points per game en route to a 6-0 start. But in the last two games they have averaged 19 points, including six field goals and only three touchdowns. As a result, there's been more pressure on the defense to keep opponents from scoring and games have been much tighter.   Full Story

STILLWATER - Oklahoma State head coach Travis Ford welcomed Dale Brown, his former college roommate at Kentucky, to Gallagher-Iba Arena on Tuesday night. But instead of his team being as giving as the Cowboys were on Saturday night in the first exhibition with 27 turnovers, they were more stingy with two young guards Ray Penn and Fred Gulley the ring leaders as the Pokes defeated Dillard 97-55.   Full Story

STILLWATER - Oklahoma State Cowgirls head coach Kurt Budke has bragged about the new, improved team chemistry going into this season. He has also hinted that his new youth movement with nine new players joining the four remaining seniors would lead to less points and more assists by superstar Andrea Riley.   Full Story

STILLWATER - As the season got underway, Travis Ford talked about the Oklahoma State Cowboys more like they were a science project than a basketball team. On Saturday, in a game where OSU turned the ball over 27 times on the way to a too-close-for-comfort 89-80 victory over Division II Central Oklahoma, the coach gave his experiment a failing grade.   Full Story
