Oklahoma State women's basketball coach Kurt Budke signed six high school players on Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period.
Members of the Cowgirls class include:
Keuna Flax, 5-9, Haltom, Texas: The versatile athlete plays all five spots on the floor for her high school team, averaging 21 points (including a season-best 37 in one game) and 7.1 rebounds as a junior.
Heather Howard, 6-3, Shawnee Mission (West), Kans.: She averaged 13 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks last season as a junior in leading her team to the Class 6A state tournament.
Desiree Jeffries, 5-10, Del City, Okla.: The daughter of former Cowboy Royce Jeffries (1986-90), she has averaged 13.1 points and 5.1 rebounds since breaking into the starting lineup as a freshman.
Lindsey Keller, 6-2, Goddard, Kans.: A first-team All-State selection a year ago as a junior, she averaged 18.2 points per game in leading her team to the Class 6A state championship game.
LaSharra Riley, 6-1, Topeka (Washburn Rural), Kans.: She averaged 11.8 points and 10.0 rebounds in earning Centennial League Most Valuable Player honors last season as a junior.
Toni Young, 6-2, Del City, Okla.: She is one of the few high school girls who can dunk the ball (if you don’t believe it, there’s a YouTube video to prove it).
