Current Oklahoma State quarterback Mason Rudolph was finishing up leading his Rock Hill Northwestern teammates to the Class 4A state championship in South Carolina last December there was a subscriber to GoPokes.com that wrote in suggesting the Cowboys staff recruit Rudolph's favorite receiver to join the quarterback in Stillwater. That receiver is Dupree Hart.

Alex Dieringer: When You’re On A Holiday…

We've always heard in sports that it's much harder to repeat than it is to win that first championship. Looking at Alex Dieringer and his recent summer after an individual championship at the 2014 NCAA Division I Wrestling Tournament in Oklahoma City would cause concern for someone that truly believes that theory -- and someone who doesn’t know him.

Defense Is Tired And Depleted

Defense Is Tired And Depleted

Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy hates the way the college football regular season stretches from August to December. OSU has its third bye week of the season this week. But the Cowboys defense needs this bye week to get ready for the Dec. 6 Bedlam game against OU, the team's last chance to get bowl eligible and extend the school-record bowling streak to nine seasons.

Gundy, OSU's Reputation Was At Stake

Gundy, OSU's Reputation Was At Stake

I only heard about it and haven't read it but was told there was a columnist that wrote Mike Gundy was committing a crime against freshman quarterback Mason Rudolph by pulling his redshirt in the 11th game of the season. The columnist, I'm told, suggested putting Tyreek Hill, the speedy and talented athlete still needing some improvement, to take each snap and run the "wildcat" for Oklahoma State.

Cowboys Have Hope, Thanks To Rudolph

Cowboys Have Hope, Thanks To Rudolph

Just like the Rudolph of Christmas lore, you know the one with the red nose, freshman quarterback Mason Rudolph spread some cheer through the Oklahoma State football family on Saturday night in Waco, Texas.

Rudolph Shows He’s The Future

Rudolph Shows He’s The Future

The good news for Oklahoma State is Mason Rudolph, James Washington and Ramon Richards are true freshmen. The bad news is earning on-the-job training isn’t always fun as the Cowboys continue to find out throughout the 2014 season, including Saturday night’s 49-28 loss to seventh-ranked Baylor.

He’s Back! Cobbins Shines In His Return

STILLWATER – It had been exactly 325 days since Michael Cobbins limped off the Gallagher-Iba Arena court with an Achilles injury. It took exactly 22 seconds for the fifth-year senior to make his presence known en route to scoring a career-high 15 points in Oklahoma State’s 82-68 victory over Milwaukee on Friday night.

Lane No Longer An OSU Commit After Arrest

Lane No Longer An OSU Commit After Arrest

Oklahoma State lost one of its top commitments for the 2015 football recruiting class when the Cowboys apparently pulled their offer following the arrest of four-star standout cornerback Jaylon Lane of Nacogdoches, Texas.

OSU-Baylor: Key Matchups & Predictions

OSU-Baylor: Key Matchups & Predictions

The plan is to continue to monitor the concussion protocol with Daxx Garman. If Garman cannot go, then Mason Rudolph will have to play and break the redshirt that he's worn for the first 10 games of the season. You have to put that best foot forward in an effort to win. How will Rudolph fare if he indeed gets his first collegiate start in Waco?

Michael Cobbins was manning the middle against Robert Morris one late-December night last year, when suddenly he crashed to the court, believing someone had gotten careless behind him. “It really felt like the cameraman had dropped a camera on me,” Cobbins said. “I turned around and looked back at him and he was looking at me and the film was still rolling, so I realized that wasn’t it.”
