Oklahoma State hasn't lost three games in a row since Mike Gundy's first year as head coach in 2005. But the Cowboys, who have lost the past two weeks to TCU and West Virginia, are two touchdown underdogs entering Saturday's game at Kansas State. Let's visit about the state of the football program, basketball season starting soon, and whatever else Cowboys fan have on their mind.

Williams, Family Enjoy OSU Homecoming

Oklahoma State picked up a pair of commitments on Monday, but over the weekend the Cowboys hosted a number of prospects from not only the 2015 recruiting class but more from the 2016, 2017 and even 2018 classes. One of the top prospects in Stillwater fresh off a regular season closing win on Friday night in Tulsa over Holland Hall was Fort Worth All Saints Episcopal defensive tackle Mike Williams.

Robert Allen and Lauren Russell discuss Oklahoma State's chances as a two-touchdown underdog to Kansas State.

Cowgirls Get Commit From Standout Point Guard

Cowgirls Get Commit From Standout Point Guard

Since 2006, the Oklahoma State’s women basketball team has had only two point guards. Andrea Riley led the Cowgirls from 2006 to 2009, and Tiffany Bias was the team’s leader from 2010 to 2014. OSU head coach Jim Littell may have locked up over the weekend the next great Cowgirl point guard in Amber Ramirez.

One of the first questions during Mike Gundy's news conference was about sophomore safety Jordan Sterns. The Cowboys young free safety did something few Oklahoma State defenders have done when he registered 20 tackles, the fifth highest tackling total by an individual Cowboy in program history. There were 14 unassisted tackles and six assisted stops and Sterns made an assist on a tackle for loss.

Encino (Calif.) Crespi DL Vaimoe Sekona has yet to visit Oklahoma State but decided Monday night he was ready to be a Cowboy.

From The Coordinator: Offense Improving?

From The Coordinator: Offense Improving?

It may be hard to see without sitting in a meeting room or an office and staring at the video on the computer but I did the same thing on Sunday. The first half of Saturday's game showed that the Oklahoma State offense improved some. There is a long way to go but the head coach saw a few things that made him feel better.

Pertile's Journey Leads To Stillwater

Pertile's Journey Leads To Stillwater

Late Sunday night back in Arizona where he is finishing up his junior college semester at Mesa Community College, Brandon Pertile reflected on his weekend visit to Oklahoma State. It started with his all caps and bold Twitter message on Friday proclaiming wheels up on his official visit to Oklahoma State.

Cowboys Land Junior College Triple Threat

Cowboys Land Junior College Triple Threat

We told you a week ago that Oklahoma State was looking for an additional quarterback in the recruiting class, and it took little time to land one. He is in the running for a national championship at the junior college level. Todd Mays told Oklahoma State that he is committed and planning on coming after he finishes up a season at East Mississippi Community College.

Sunday Rewind: Offense Was Better At Times

Sunday Rewind: Offense Was Better At Times

I know, the great apologist is about to write. However, reading the comments of Oklahoma State fans, I think we are on the same page in some of this. I wasn't buying the improvement against TCU that Mike Gundy and Mike Yurcich mentioned, unless you were talking only about running the football on the first series when TCU kept just six in the box defensively.

Sunday Rewind: Peterson Shines On Defense

Sunday Rewind: Peterson Shines On Defense

We posted some defensive numbers from Oklahoma State's games with TCU and West Virginia and what those two offenses were averaging. They weren't bad, in fact, much better than the OSU defense in 2012 and also the defense that helped win the Big 12 Championship. This crew started one true freshmen and one redshirt freshman and played two other true freshmen and two other redshirt freshmen Saturday.

Two Unsung Heroes For Cowboys

Two Unsung Heroes For Cowboys

They are two unsung heroes on Saturday as both fullback Teddy Johnson and punter/kickoff specialist Kip Smith were outstanding in the 34-10 homecoming loss to West Virginia. The game in its totality was not something to celebrate, but these two young men, along with cornerback Kevin Peterson, who shut down the nation's hottest receiver in Kevin White, were well worth celebrating.
