Walsh In a Classic; Sims Believed To Be OK

Hopefully, many Oklahoma State fans had a chance to see Cowboys verbal pledge and already immerging leader in the 2011 recruiting class J.W. Walsh of Denton Guyer put on a show Monday in the Kirk Herbstriet Classic in Cowboys Stadium. Walsh ran for 184 yards and five touchdowns and threw for 158 yards and another score despite losing a heartbreaker in overtime to powerhouse Cedar Hill 42-41.

Walsh opened the scoring in the Labor Day classic, the third of four games in Cowboys Stadium, with a scintillating 66-yard touchdown run on a read option. Walsh, despite being knocked groggy in the second quarter, went on to run for touchdowns of 3, 13, 11, and in overtime 9 yards.
