Recruiting: Phillips Has Been Through A Lot

Jordan Phillips

There is no doubt that Jordan Phillips of Towanda Circle, Kan., can play. The 6-6, 280-pound Phillips is a three-sport athlete that was honorable mention in basketball this past season, plays first base and pitches for the baseball team, and his best sport is football where his freakish speed for that size, 4.7 in the forty, makes him a monster playmaker on the defensive line.

His personal history is a lesson in determination. After his mother died when he was 2 years old, he lived and was successfully raised by his grandmother (Irene Alford) and grandfather (Willie Alford).
