Recruiting: Cowboys Add Center To Class

The Oklahoma State recruiting class for 2010 was running kind of short on offensive line numbers but add a new one to the list and standout Jacob Jenkins of Gilmer, Texas says he is being brought in to play center.

"They told me that they will play me at center," said Jenkins, who at roughly 6-3, 255 pounds is an athletic offensive line prospect. "Ever since I decommitted from Missouri I knew I wanted to go there. I wanted to go there for awhile."

Jenkins is not real talkative but he and his family did visit Oklahoma State this summer in a visit cut short as they also went on up to Columbia, Mo., to visit the Tigers where his older brother is a redshirt freshman offensive lineman.

As for his unofficial visit this weekend, it must have gone well for Jenkins to make his pledge. "It was pretty strong," he said. "It was pretty good except the for the loss."

Jenkins said he will make an official visit at a later date. He has seen all of the football facilities but is looking forward to seeing the dorms and the other parts of the campus and Stillwater. He also said he was not sure what he would plan to major in academically.

He does know that Mike Gundy and Joe Wickline like him at the center position on the offensive line. That is enough to go on for now.
