Keith Toston has played in the background the last several years to many of Texans who have migrated north to Oklahoma State, including Andre Sexton, Dez Bryant and Kendall Hunter. But playing in front of family and friends, the Angleton, Texas senior was the man of the hour Saturday in helping the 15th-ranked Cowboys defeat Texas A&M 36-31 at Kyle Field.

The 6-foot, 215-pound Toston was one of many Cowboys stepping up as Oklahoma State made the trip to College Station without its two most prolific offensive players – wide receiver Dez Bryant (ruled ineligible this past week for not being completely truthful with NCAA investigators who were asking about his relationship with former NFL player Deion Sanders) and running back Kendall Hunter (injured foot).
