Recruiting: Henry Rates As Top LB in Oklahoma

Linebacker Trayvon Henry of Oklahoma City (Millwood), Okla., rates as the best in the state at his position and has already been offered a scholarship by Oklahoma State. Henry has heard from quite a few schools already but rates his relationship with Oklahoma State as the best.

"Oklahoma State is the most visible school right now," said Henry. "They talk to me a lot and send me a lot of mail. I went up to their first junior day and I can tell they really like me.

"Then there is LSU, and yes, Texas Tech. They are showing me a lot of love too," Henry added.

The 6-2, 220-pound linebacker is very athletic as he has a best of 4.58 in the forty and tops on the bench press of 285 pounds and 345 pounds on the squat. He has played basketball in the past but not this season. He will be involved in track for the Falcons.

Last season as a junior he set himself up as one of the top, we think the best, linebacker in the state with 160 total tackles and three sacks. He also plays well in pass coverage.

Henry seemed to really like his junior day visit to Stillwater. "It was pretty good and I got to mee the new defensive coordinator and the linebackers coach Glenn Spencer," said Henry.

"Coach Spencer is pretty cool and he told me that I could be playing in games as soon as I got there and I like that. The west end zone is looking pretty good and that is going to be one of the top facilities in college football. It will put them at the top."

Henry admitted that he grew up kind of rooting for the Texas Longhorns. "Texas hasn't paid me any attention, so they are out," said Henry.

Henry said he is looking to major in computer engineering and learning to build computers. He said math is a good subject for him, and he keeps building up his defensive stats he may need a computer to keep up with them. His career tackle numbers have to be approaching 400.
