Recruiting: Cowboys Get QB In Chelf

Oklahoma State Cowboys gained their first quarterback commitment in the 2009 recruiting class Wednesday and it is Enid, Okla., standout Clint Chelf. Head coach Mike Gundy and co-offensive coordinator Gunter Brewer were looking for a signal caller as close in pedigree as they could find to current starting quarterback Zac Robinson and Chelf fits the bill.

The 6-3, 198-pound Chelf has good speed, reported 4.6 and may be faster. He had been committed since the summer to Tulsa but that changed Wednesday, two days before his 18th birthday on Friday and the day before his dad's birthday Thursday and dad is an OSU graduate.
