Posted Oct 17, 2008

On Friday night the Homecoming and Hoops event will get started at 9 p.m. and while OSU men's coach Travis Ford will have as many as nine recruits, some committed and others looking, Cowgirls head coach Kurt Budke and his staff are expected to have some talented players there as well.

Desiree Jeffries, a 5-10 athletic guard who is the daughter of former OSU basketball player Royce Jeffries, will make her official visit. Jeffries plays for Del City (Okla.) High School, and her teammate Toni Young, a 6-3, athletic post, will be in attendance on an unofficial visit. Both players have made verbal commitments to Oklahoma State.

There are two other official visitors expected as post Heather Howard of Shawnee Mission (West), Kan., and post LaSharra Riley of Topeka (Washburn), Kan., are also expected to be in Stillwater. Howard and Riley are also both committed to the Cowgirls.

Post Lindsey Keller of Goddard, Kan., and Edmond (North), Okla., guard Elizabeth Donohoe are both expected to make unofficial visits for the Homecoming and Hoops event.
