Marcus Richardson No Longer On Team
Marcus Richardson

Linebacker Marcus Richardson, out of Seguin, Texas, is no longer on the Oklahoma State football team. The undersized Richardson was a tremendous playmaker in high school with 143 tackles for Seguin. An All-State player he posted 26 and 24 tackle games during his senior season.

There is no word on the reasons for his departure. During spring practice he was not able to move up on the depth chart and stayed on the third team throughout spring practice.

His departure, along with the expected arrival of two junior college transfers in Donald Booker and Tolu Moala and freshman Alfred DuPree, who still has to pass the NCAA Clearing House, leaves OSU with three Star linebackers, three weakside linebackers, four middle linebackers, and DuPree, who will likely play middle linebacker.

A source in the football program confirmed Richardson's departure from the team, and it was also discovered that his name has been taken off the roster on the OSU official athletic website.
