Cowboy Football: Spring Practice Notes Premium Story
Martel Van Zant
Martel Van Zant

It appears that some major studios and very influential movie producers and directors are interested in obtaining the rights to former Oklahoma State Cowboy cornerback Martel Van Zant's story.

The very popular Cowboy player that excelled despite dealing with being completely deaf and mute is seen as a role model with a very inspirational story. The movie would include a lot of Martel's experience at Oklahoma State and would be shot on the OSU campus.

A source close to Van Zant said negotiations are currently going on with noted director and producer and Oklahoma native Ron Howard.

Calling All Former Cowboy Players
It appears that close to 90 former Oklahoma State players are planning to be a part of the Legend's Day at the annual Orange-White Game on April 12. Former OSU players are encouraged to contact the football office to be a part of the golf event at Lakeside Golf Course or the dinner just before the spring game in the O-Club room. The ex-players will be introduced to the crowd at halftime.
