Recruiting: First Commitment A Big Time Back

Next season should be the year of the running back in Oklahoma high school football, and the Cowboys already have a member of the terrific trio of backs in the state committed to coming to Stillwater. All-State (second team) running back Jeremy Smith of Tulsa Union called Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy and assistant head coach and running backs coach Curtis Luper with the good news Monday.

"I committed to Oklahoma State earlier today," said Smith, who had seemed to be leaning toward Oklahoma State and had attended their first junior day on Feb. 2.
