Recruiting: Cowboys Get Visit From Beau
Johnson has carried 237 times for 1,533 yards and 15 touchdowns. He averages 139.4 yards a game and 6.5 yards per carry. He has also caught 9 passes for 42 yards and a touchdown.
"I feel pretty excited," said Johnson about the upcoming championship clash with Snow this weekend. "I feel good about our chances (of winning)."
After Saturday Johnson will be looking for where he will extend his college career. He said Oklahoma State assistant head coach Joe DeForest was on the Butler campus Monday and Johnson set up a visit with the Cowboys.
"I'm just getting around to setting up visits and I am going to go to Oklahoma State on Dec. 7," explained Johnson, who is originally out of Lawrenceville, Ga. "I'm looking to set one up with Kansas and then I'm looking at Kentucky, TCU and Iowa State."
What is Johnson checking out? "A place where I can play or have a chance to play right away," he said. "I just have two years left to be on the field. I feel I can run between the tackles and run outside. I can also catch the ball, so someone will be getting the complete back."
That's good advertising. Of course, those numbers in the tough Jayhawk Conference are really good advertising.
