Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy called Tuesday's practice enthusiastic and productive as the Cowboys look to rebound from the opening game loss at Georgia and prepare for the home opener with Florida Atlantic. The practice was held inside Boone Pickens Stadium after a thunderstorm hit the Stillwater area around 1:30 p.m. The practice was two and a half hours long.

"We had a good practice," said Gundy. "The players were enthusiastic and worked hard all the way through the practice. We corrected a lot of mistakes on offense. We are scaling back on how much we are doing. I thought we tried to do too much at Georgia. The defense worked on tackling all the way through practice."

Defensive coordinator Tim Beckman had said Monday that practices this week would include tackling in every aspect, including the work against the scout team and he held true to his word even adding some extra tackling drills during the practice.

Kickoff for the game against the Florida Atlantic Owls is 6:05 p.m. Saturday night in Boone Pickens Stadium.

Weather Forecast
The forecast for Saturday is for partly cloudy skies with a high of 86 and a low of 64. There is a 30 percent chance of scattered thunderstorms. The kickoff temperature should be right at 82.
