OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma State wide receiver Artrell Woods continued to be in great spirits on Monday. He said he realized how serious the result of his bad step and accidental fall could have been if not for the actions of a number of people including the surgical team that operated on him for three and a half hours at Mercy Hospital on Friday afternoon.

Woods, his mother and girlfriend saw a steady stream of visitors on Monday, including many members of the Oklahoma State coaching staff, more of his teammates, and others connected to the football program.

He also got up early this morning and after reading a stack of well wishes and e-mail prayers from Oklahoma State fans and fans of rivals -- including season-opening opponent Georgia and Big 12 foes Oklahoma and Texas -- Woods wrote a thank you note to all fans on a GoPokes.com message board. Woods was getting around Monday with a walker and he continues to improve and is excited about taking a major step toward his rehabilitation with his transfer on Tuesday to the McBride Clinic in Oklahoma City.
