Recruiting: Jones Unsure About Weekend Visit
"I don't know yet," Jones said when asked about the rumored visit. "I really don't know yet. Nothing has really changed, I just want to take a visit."
The 6-4, 240-pound Jones said he is still committed to Oklahoma State, but continues to be contacted by other schools including Oklahoma. He said to check back with him on Sunday to see whether he ended up going on any visits or not.
Between now and this weekend Jones and his Lincoln teammates have their biggest district game so far -- a showdown with Dallas Hillcrest at Forrester Field. The Lincoln Tigers are unbeaten in district play with recent wins over Spruce and North Dallas. Jones said his sack number is up to 12 on the season and that he has between 40 and 50 total tackles. Hillcrest has some talent and Jones said it will definitely be Lincoln's biggest test so far in district play.
As for how Jones spends the rest of his weekend, we'll take him up on his offer to call on Sunday and find out.
