Recruiting: Prince Checks Out Cowboys

Posted Sep 17, 2006

Defensive tackle/tight end Quinton Prince of Oklahoma City (Heritage Hall), Okla., was in Boone Pickens Stadium on Saturday night checking out the school he has pledged to with a verbal commitment. The 6-4, 270-pounder said he was impressed with what he saw.

"I thought they played really good," Prince said of the Cowboys. "I thought they played really well. Yes, because I've committed it is real easy for me to sit up there and picture myself being out there."

Prince and his Charger teammates dropped a tough decision to Davis on Friday night, but are still a favorite to make a run in the playoffs. The Chargers open district play on Friday at Jones. Even in defeat Prince had a strong showing for Heritage Hall in the Davis game.

"I had two receptions and a touchdown," said Prince. "On defense I think I had five or six tackles."

Prince also confirmed that he has set up an official visit with Oklahoma State in January.
