OSU Basketball Hires Director of Operations?
Oklahoma State Cowboys

Posted Jun 24, 2006

Oklahoma State basketball is reportedly getting a new director of basketball operations in former Fort Worth (Texas) Paschal High School coach Mike Hatch. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram newspaper is reporting that Hatch resigned his job at Paschal to join the Oklahoma State basketball staff. Hatch had been at Paschal for six seasons and led them to two playoff appearances.

Greg Swain of Triple Play Sports Radio and GregSwaim.com reports that Hatch will be bringing his son, 6-6 forward Scott Hatch, as a walk-on to the OSU program.

Mike Hatch also has solid connections in both the Texas high school basektball coaching ranks and the recruiting ranks with some of the recruiting analysts in Texas.

OSU head coach Sean Sutton denied Friday that the position has been filled or even been offered, and that any announcement otherwise is premature.

There has been no release from OSU head coach Sean Sutton or Oklahoma State on the addition of Hatch.
