Thomas Wright Kicked Off Team

Posted Aug 8, 2005

Starting safety Thomas Wright has been dismissed from the Oklahoma State football team, head coach Mike Gundy announced when he met with members of the media following Monday night's practice. Gundy said he could not comment further.

Wright, a senior from Sweeny, Texas, was listed as the starting free safety on the depth chart in the Oklahoma State media guide. He becomes the seventh player that Gundy has dismissed from the team since taking over as head coach in January.

The dismissal of Wright makes the jumbled secondary even more of a question mark with the Cowboys scheduled to play their first game in less than four weeks.
