Tight end Billy Bajema became the third Oklahoma State player selected in the 2005 NFL Draft when the San Francisco 49ers made him a seventh-round pick on Sunday.

Bajema, who started 37 games at tight end during his OSU career, will rejoin former Cowboy standout Rashaun Woods who was a first-round draft choice of the 49ers in 2004.

Bajema is one of OSU's most decorated student-athletes in the classroom. He was honored as a scholar-athlete by the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame. Bajema has a double major in General Business and Pre-Med, and carries a 3.7 grade point average.

During his four-year career for the Cowboys he played in 46 games and caught 52 passes for 709 yards (13.6 average) with four touchdowns. He also registered 14 tackles (13 solos) while playing on special teams.

Bajema joins cornerback Darrent Williams (second round by the Denver Broncos) and Vernand Morency (third round by the Houston Texans) as other OSU players selected in the 2005 NFL Draft.
