Former Oklahoma State defensive coordinator Bill Clay is back in Stillwater and will not join former OSU head coach Les Miles new staff at LSU.

Clay did not elaborate, only saying that things did not work out and there was not a place for him on the LSU staff. It is uncertain what Clay's future plans will be at this point.

Jason Cherry, the 6-0, 180-pound athlete out of Boca Raton (Spanish River), Fla. is still on the commitment list but won't enroll at midterm and join the squad for the spring semester. Cherry can't sign a letter of intent until the Feb. 2 signing day.
