Irving Safety/Return Specialist

Irving senior-to-be Marcus Gold, a Texas Hot 100 candidate, stands 5-10, 180 pounds and reportedly clocks a 4.4 forty. We'll be learning more about him over the next few months. He was the only junior starter on a senior laden Irving defense who made it all the way to the Texas state regional semi-finals, before finally getting beat by defending state champion Southlake Carroll.

Senior stats: 93 tackles,10 pass-breakups, 3 interceptions, one blocked extra point attempt (which he returned for two points). Also returned a few kicks/punts for scores.

Accolades: First-team all-district, all-city, all-district academic team (boasts a 9.50 grade average on a 10.0 scale and is currently ranked in the top 20 in his class of over 600 students), president of his junior class and nominated for the President's National Leadership Conference which is held in Washington D.C.

Marcus Gold is receiving most of his attention from "Kansas State, Northwestern, Arizona State, Duke, Texas A&M and Oklahoma State."

Bloodlines: Marcus is the younger brother of Oklahoma State RB Greg Gold.
