Jalin Barnett Visits OSU With His Mother

It was after practice on Saturday but Jalin Barnett made it to Stillwater with his mother for a visit on the Oklahoma State campus. The 6-4 and nearly 300-pound offensive guard prospect is reportedly now considering Arkansas and Oklahoma but he apparently hasn't totally eliminated Oklahoma State yet.

Barnett is one of the top prospects in Oklahoma and considered one of the top inside offensive line prospects in the nation.

This will be a wait and see to figure out if Oklahoma State is still in the mix.

At Sunday's practice one of Oklahoma State's pledges in defensive tackle Taaj Bakari was in attendance with his dad. The two watched the offensive and defensive lines go at it in both inside drill and later in pass pro. Bakari certainly looks like the size he is listed at, 6-2, 285 pounds.

As a junior in 2013, Bakari had 44 tackles with six sacks, three tackles for a loss, and caused two fumbles to earn 15-4A First Team All-District honors.

Offers were officially allowed to be mailed out by NCAA rules and received on August 1. Of course, OSU, as have many other schools, has made many verbal offers but now they are in writing. Two linemen offered by the Cowboys, one on each side of the ball, tweeted their Oklahoma State offers.

The first was from Tim Settle, one of the best defensive tackles in the nation out of Manassas, Virginia. The second was from Lufkin, Texas offensive lineman Erik McCoy.
