Furman was obviously looking for a school where he could play more before rounding out his collegiate career. As Go Pokes first reported in March, he visited Oklahoma State last weekend and was able to watch the Orange Blitz. It was an official visit and he was hosted by several veteran Cowboys including linebacker Ryan Simmons.
Furman, who took pictures with the Oklahoma State staff and displayed them on Instagram, confirmed his decision to attend OSU and play for the Cowboys over direct messaging on Twitter to Tramel, and the Tulsa World reporter shared those with us.
"I really did not think about who to consider," Furman wrote on his process of finding a new college home. "I just wanted to find a place for the best fit and opportunity and OSU was it."
Furman definitely was aware of the graduation of the likes of Daytawion Lowe, Shamiel Gary, and Zack Craig as safeties in the program.
"I saw it was the perfect opportunity to come there and contribute and compete for my last year of eligibility," Furman added. "They see me coming in and doing well like he (Tyler Patmon) did."
