Oklahoma State inside receiver and punt return specialist Josh Stewart has declared his intention to enter the NFL. He released the news through his Instagram account. He posted a graphic with pictures of him at Oklahoma State and titled it "Legacy" with the NFL Draft logo and the words, "A New Chapter Begins..."

"First, I wanna thank God for this opportunity and for all the Cowboy fans that's been the most loyal and true fans I've ever been around! I've been so blessed and I'm thankful for you guys! I would like to just let you all know that I've decided to declare and enter the NFL Draft," Stewart wrote on his site where his handle is Stewyyy5.

"One of the most hardest decisions I've had to make in my life and I hope all my friends and Cowboy family continue to follow me throughout this journey I'm gonna be preparing for. Thanks for everything Cowboy Nation. I will rep Pokes until my time on this earth is up! #OrangePower."

Stewart, who just finished his junior season at Oklahoma State, put his name in for the evaluation of his draft potential with the NFL and said during the Cowboys preparation for the Cotton Bowl game with Missouri that he would weigh his options after the game.

Stewart caught eight passes in the Cotton Bowl for 84 yards and a touchdown. He had two punt returns for a total of four yards.

On the season, which for Stewart was interrupted because of injuries against Kansas (ankle) and Oklahoma (knee), he had 60 receptions for 707 yards with three touchdowns. He also had 22 punt returns for 368 yards with two touchdowns. He averaged just over 18 yards a return and had a school record 95-yard punt return for touchdown against TCU.

This past season Stewart earned second-team All-Big 12 honors from the coaches as a receiver. They also named his second-team All-Big 12 as a return specialist. The Big 12 broadcasters named him first-team All-Big 12 punt returner and second-team All-Big 12 receiver.

In the 2012 season, Stewart led the conference in receiving with 101 receptions for 1,210 yards with seven touchdowns and as a first-team All-Big 12 receiver.

His career numbers as a receiver are 180 receptions for 2,208 yards with 12 touchdowns.
