I hate to be the one that keeps saying, "I told you so." However, it is easy with Oklahoma State quarterback recruit Mason Rudolph of Rock Hill (Northwestern), S.C. After a season in which he passed for 4,377 yards with 64 touchdowns and just eight interceptions, Rudolph is now the Most Valuable Player of the oldest high school all-star game in the nation, the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas.

In the game in which high school standouts from North Carolina face their counterparts from South Carolina, Rudolph completed a 20-yard touchdown pass to Shaquille Davidson with 16 seconds left on Saturday to lift South Carolina to a 28-23 victory over North Carolina.

Rudolph finished the game completing 15-of-22 passes for 182 yards and three touchdowns. He also threw a touchdown pass to open the scoring for South Carolina by hitting Tyshun Samuel for 21 yards. His second touchdown pass put South Carolina up 14-0 in the contest.

Rudolph shared the quarterbacking South Carolina duties with Stratford's Jacob Park. Park and Stratford lost to Rudolph and Northwestern 62-35 in the South Carolina AAAA Division II state championship game earlier this month.

Last week, Park was named "Mr. Football" in South Carolina as Rudolph was a finalist for the award.

Rudolph, as I have said here several times, is, in my opinion, the top high school quarterback prospect in the 2014 recruiting class.
