On a slightly negative note, receiver/running back/all-purpose offensive athlete Tyreek Hill
from Garden City (Kan.) Community College is in Austin this weekend. Some of Hill's track buddies at Texas helped lure him to Texas for the visit, which coincided with the Texas football banquet and the latest reported news that Mack Brown will remain as head coach at Texas.
Hill has some developing to do to maximize and become the player I think he wants to be in the future. Based on the development of similar players at Oklahoma State he has a lot to think about. That was one of the reasons he chose Oklahoma State where he could play a variety of positions.
Meanwhile, OSU, like most schools, continues to recruit players at positions where they are full just in case they have to go back and make up for a lost prospect.
Also, TCU and Texas offered OSU commit James Washington of Stamford this week. But Oklahoma State was in Stamford visiting the standout wide receiver/athlete. Washington plays this weekend in the semifinals in Class A Division I.
Standout running back Devon Thomas of Broken Arrow, Okla., is the only official visitor this weekend to Oklahoma State. The player who has been committed the longest in the 2014 recruiting class is scheduled to enroll for the spring semester and be in Stillwater for the offseason and spring football.
