STILLWATER, Okla. – Marcus Smart put on a show Tuesday night for NBA All-Star Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Scott Brooks and 23 NBA scouts – in addition to a national television audience viewing on ESPN – as he scored a career-best 39 points to lead No. 7 Oklahoma State to a 101-80 rout of No. 11 Memphis inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.

After 11 minutes in the showdown between the Cowboys and the Tigers the scoreboard read: OSU 29, Memphis 20. It could have read: Marcus Smart 24, Memphis 20. The Cowboys sophomore guard was sensational in scoring in ever way imaginable during the game’s first 11 minutes, scoring on 3-pointers, driving to the basket, making steals and getting easy slam dunks, to impress Durant, Brooks and everyone watching across the nation.
