Warren Continues Impressive Run

Lawton may again be the best hope this season to end the stranglehold that Jenks and Tulsa Union have on the gold football in Class 6A. Lawton flexed its muscles on Friday night by beating a solid Southmoore squad 47-13. Lawton is led by a running back that literally has come out of nowhere in Michael Warren, who entered the game with 1,144 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on 128 carries.

After Southmoore jumped out to a 7-0 lead following a fumble by Warren, a Southmoore defender put his helmet on the ball perfectly and the Sabercats marched it in quickly with talented Pierce Spead playing as a "wildcat" and covering the final eight yards on a zone run.
