Broken Arrow's Thomas Set Career Rushing Mark

BROKEN ARROW – At the end of the first quarter Friday night, Devon Thomas had rushed for two yards on three carries and Broken Arrow trailed Owasso 7-3. But the Broken Arrow senior running back was just getting started as he rushed for 175 yards to set the school career rushing record and a touchdown to lead the Tigers to a 37-16 victory.

The 5-11, 210-pound senior carried 25 times for 175 yards, including a 5-yard scoring run midway through the fourth quarter which sewed it up for the Tigers. Thomas took a handoff from Broken Arrow quarterback Coleman Key on the third play of the second quarter from the Tigers' 46-yard line.
