“It’s been good even though my ankle is a little messed up,” Chris Lammons said at The Opening.”
”I couldn’t come out of breaks like I wanted to, but I still was able to lock a lot of receivers down. I went against Ermon Lane, he caught one on me, but other than that, everything was really good.”
The Plantation (Fla) standout is close with many of the South Florida standouts on hand and several have been working on recruiting him.
“I would say all the Florida guys (are really after me), like Anthony Moten, Khairi Clark, Dalvin Cook. They just keep telling me to come join the family,” he said.
Lammons previously named a top five that included Florida, South Carolina, Miami, Alabama, and Tennessee. He said it’s fun to have all of his friends try to recruit him, but he knows he needs to make his own choice.
“It’s not really a factor because at the same time you have to go in and do what you do. You have to be your own man and not just try to go in with those boys and just play around, you have to learn how to man up and take charge of your own life,” he said.
The 5-foot-9, 173-pound athlete plans on taking a couple more visits this summer. He hopes to see Alabama and South Carolina and maybe make it back to Florida.
“I’ll probably make a decision in August,” he said.
“I’m still kind of confused right now.”
Lammons was originally hoping for an early decision and then thought it might take more time to sort it all out. Now he’s hoping to get it out of the way before his senior season. FOX Sports NEXT will have all the latest.
