"Working Hard"

Connor Arlia

Wide receiver Connonr Arlia has worked his way from unknown walk-on to potential linchpin of the 2013 Mountaineer receiving corps.

One of the reasons for Arlia's climb up the ladder at West Virginia is the hard work he has put in. Like any successful walk-on, he put all of his effort into improving every day, and as a result his name is being mentioned as one of the go-to guys in WVU's passing offense this fall.

Coaches also noticed his work ethic and production, naming him the Blue & Gold News Tom Nickolich Award winner this spring, which is presented to the walk-on who distinguishes himself with his work ethic and performance.

As such, Arlia has a good perspective on the newcomers on the West Virginia offense. He knows what it takes to earn time and be successful at the Division I level, and he sees a lot of that in his receiving teammates as they work out on their own this summer.

In this interview, he discusses the work that transfer quarterback Clint Trickett and the incoming wide receivers have put in, and offers an opinion on the predicted downfall of WVU's offense after the departure of some key players.
