Rudolph is a 6-5, 210-pound quarterback who compares very close in physical stature and stats to Cornwell. The biggest difference is that Rudolph has not attended any of the national camps and combines.
Cornwell was chosen as an Elite 11 finalist. He will go to Oregon in July to compete in the finals.
The 6-5, 220-pound Cornwell will play for Norman North this fall. His tight end with the Timberwolves, Payton Prince, was also expected to make the trip to Stillwater with Cornwell.
Alabama, Florida State, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, Auburn, Nebraska, Auburn, Indiana and Tennessee are among the schools to have offered Cornwell. He has said he will make his commitment later in June to the school where he'll enroll for the spring semester.
Last season, playing at Jones High School, he completed 191-of-338 passes for 2,742 yards with 27 touchdowns and just eight interceptions. Cornwell also ran for 755 yards last season.
Again, it's not a surprise that Cornwell did not show up. Oklahoma State has its quarterback pledge and is not expected to entertain any more commitments at the position.
