Breakfast At The Alamo

Posted May 7, 2013

It will be breakfast at the Alamodome on Saturday, Sept. 7, when the Oklahoma State Cowboys visit San Antonio to face the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners for the second game of the 2013 season.

We still don't know the kickoff time for the opener with Mississippi State on Aug. 31 in Houston, but the game the next week in San Antonio will kickoff at 11 a.m. and be televised on Fox Sports Net as part of the Conference USA television package.

The game will be the first between Oklahoma State and newcomer to Division I in UTSA.

Last season in their first campaign in Division I the Roadrunners were 8-4 with road wins over South Alabama, Georgia State and New Mexico State, and a home win over Texas State, who upset Houston in the season opener. UTSA also lost battles with Rice and Louisiana Tech on the road, as well as bowl teams in San Jose State and Utah State on the road.

It will also mark a reunion in the coaching matchup as the Cowboys Mike Gundy will be going against his old offensive coordinator from college and former Miami (Fla.) head coach Larry Coker.
