One of the reasons for West Virginia's late collapses, according to guard Terry Henderson, may be fatigue. Some players aren't heeding their head coach's advice to play hard and then call for a substitution when they get tired, leading to costly moments when opponents are able to put forth more effort than the Mountaineers.
For his part, coach Bob Huggins all but seemed out of answers. The Mountaineers have tried different tactics on offense and defense, and seemingly nothing has worked consistently enough for this team to improve. Time and time again, players did not listen to advice they had received for the last week -- hardly an encouraging sign heading into a stretch when games will occur more frequently.
