Jones has narrowed his list to five schools – Baylor, Florida State, Kansas, Louisville and OSU. He visited Baylor over the Labor Day weekend, and will visit OSU (Sept. 7-9), Louisville (Sept. 14-16) and Florida (Sept. 21-23) before visiting Kansas the weekend of Late Night in the Phog (Oct. 12-14).
Jones averaged 18 points, 4.2 assists and 4.5 rebounds in helping Northwest Florida State to a 32-2 record during his freshman season. He shot 39 percent from three-point range and 71 percent from the free-throw line.
Originally from Memphis, the point guard was ranked as the 72nd-best high school prospect in 2011 when he signed with Tennessee, but he didn't qualify academically and decided to attend Northwest Florida State.
Jones has said that he plans to make a decision after visiting all five schools.
Chris Jones, the 5-10 point guard at Northwest Florida State College who is considered by many to be the top-ranked junior college player in the nation, will be making an official visit to Oklahoma State this weekend.
