Oklahoma State's recent defensive tackle commitment Vincent Taylor was on his home turf Monday visiting with Cowboys coaches as they were in San Antonio to participate in a football camp at Madison High School in San Antonio. The 6-3, 277-pound Taylor said he made the trip to watch only because he will be in Stillwater on Saturday to participate in a one day mini-camp at Oklahoma State.

"The coaches told me that I didn't need to participate and to wait until I come up on the 9th," said Taylor. "I got to meet all of my coaches for the next four years. I already knew Coach (Glenn) Spencer, but I met Coach (Bill) Young and Coach (Mike) Gundy. Yes sir, I thought the camp was excellent."

Taylor said the turnout at the camp was good as there were a lot of players participating, including some from Madison and others from around the San Antonio area.

"Jordan Sterns was there, and you know me and him committed to Oklahoma State on the same day," said Taylor. "It was good to see him, and there were a lot of players that I knew."

The Oklahoma State coaches were in Belton, Texas in the morning to guest coach at a camp at Mary Hardin-Baylor. The powerful Division III school always has a good number of attendees at its camp.

The Oklahoma State coaches roll into Houston on Tuesday to help with a camp at Cypress Ridge High School. Possible attendees there include Cy-Ridge 2013 running back prospect Rennie Childs and Cy-Falls wide receiver for 2013 Temi Akala. They could also see Cy-Falls 2014 running back prospect Samuel Stewart.

The camp tour will continue Wednesday with stops at FCS program Stephen F. Austin and then wrap up Wednesday afternoon at L.D. Bell High School, part of the Hurst-Euless-Bedford School District.
