Addison Says He's Heading To A&M

Bralon Addison

Standout athlete Bralon Addison of Missouri City (Hightower), Texas, a verbal commitment to Oklahoma State for close to two months, said he made his final decision on Saturday. Addison is now to a verbal commitment to Texas A&M, joining two friends that he attended the A&M spring football game with on the same day that Oklahoma State was playing its Orange-White Game.

That was a definite sign of trouble at the time although Addison then said he was just there with Houston-area standouts Matt Davis and Trey Williams as that duo committed to the Aggies on April 16. It was later that Addison backed off his commitment to Oklahoma State that he made in February at an OSU junior day.

Oddly enough, Addison is good friends with Oklahoma State "star" linebacker and former Hightower All-State player Shaun Lewis. Lewis was a key contributor to the Cowboys win over Texas A&M last season.

Addison was slated to play either running back or wide receiver at Oklahoma State.

Here is the way our text conversation went Saturday with Addison.

GP: Did you committ to Texas A&M today?
Addison: Yes, I did.

GP: Why?
Addison: It is the best fit for me.

GP: Does that commitment mean you are through?
Addison: Yes, I am done.

GP: Thanks and good luck.
Addison: Thank you.
